Founded to heighten awareness of the Federal SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) which not only allows food stamp recipients to purchase food, but also buy seeds and plants to grow their own food. SG was opening a hoop house in Brooklyn to offer gardening advice as well as to sell seedlings (which will be planted and tended by high school students). Our grant was for general operating expenses.
