KCTL serves children 5-15 years old living in the public housing developments of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. With a large group of volunteers, KCTL offers free, year-round programming at five sites consisting of tennis instruction and off-court educational and community building activities. KCTL has renovated or built from scratch tennis courts at three of the five sites and is committed to renovating the remaining blacktop spaces on which it teaches.
WellMet’s $25,000 grant will be used toward the renovation of tennis courts at Lafayette Gardens.
