Determined to Educate

Started in 2008, Determined joins senior citizens and youth through various community-binding projects such as book donation drives, family literacy programs (Read Out Loud in Harlem), mentoring and job placement. Our grant went to help with general operating expenses.

Our grant helped them with the purchase of a used minivan, which then facilitated delivery of suits and clothes to the job corps students with whom they work. In addition, they purchased a laptop and paid some of their outstanding operating costs.
