Founded in 1995, Bro/Sis served mainly black and Hispanic kids, ages 6-22, in Harlem by promoting stronger family units through counseling and tutoring. Grant was for general operating expenses.
Bro/Sis continues its original mission but has added counseling camps, job training and college prep. In 2007, they purchased a lot adjacent to their brownstone headquarters.
