The Collective worked with young mothers and mothers-to-be by providing legal and advocacy information plus social services. It was formed in 2004 and had a budget of $116,500.
The Collective continues to focus on young, and many of them adolescent, mothers, about 250 per year, through peer group work, advocacy, support services and education. Doula services are also provided.
