The Shakespeare Forum provides East Harlem youth with long-term acting workshops, after school programs, performances and a festival, all built around Shakespeare’s works. The Forum aims to empower students to find their voices, improve literacy, forge bonds, have access to safe and supportive after-school havens and mentors and aid in the elimination of the achievement gap.
WellMet’s grant of $25,000 will support staff salaries and program expansion.
