Mentoring, tutoring and parental support were the key elements in Sledge’s approach to working with teens ages 13-18. Sledge served 25 boys (“Real Men”) and 25 girls (“Sistas United”). Sledge continues to provide social services including youth development, mentoring, HIV prevention and civic intervention.
