FLY prepares under-represented public high school students for college via a ten-week academic curriculum: for h.s. freshmen and sophomores an Awareness Program (=aiming for higher education); for juniors a Readiness Program (mentoring, tutoring, SAT prep); for seniors a Transition Program (continuation of college prep, plus advocacy with school/college administrations. WM’s grant is to aid with a staff salary, provide access and more information about Historically Black Colleges and Universities as well as workshops exploring different possible career paths.
