The Center for Immigration and Advancement of New Americans (CIANA) serves new immigrants in New York City. CIANA's mission is to prevent the growing marginalization of new immigrants and refugees from highly traditional societies through special transitional services, leading to their successful integration into the socio-economic and civic life of America while continuing to maintain pride in their cultural heritage.

CIANA’s holistic integration model is designed to actively identify new immigrants soon after they arrive in the country, introduce them to American systems and laws, offer them an array of support services, and guide them towards social and economic advancement within American society.

CIANA specializes in providing culturally competent and language appropriate services to newcomers from the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia. Newcomers are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities available to them, to enjoy the freedoms and protections that the US offers, to take pride in their cultural heritage and to blend the best of their ethnic identity with that of their new country.
