Since 1979, Avenues for Justice has provided alternative sentencing options to teens facing incarceration for the first time. The WellMet grant funded general operating expenses. The organization operates mainly in East Harlem and the Lower East Side, supporting more than 200 teens annually who are assigned to their programs.
